What: Ami and Asami sneak into the old school building! Others can join too!
When: 8:30PM, some night in June?
Where: Old School Building
Who: Ami, Asami, others!

People in school knew Ami as one person. Asami as Ami's only friend had begun to see a different side to her. And tonight it was almost as if a whole other side of Ami was coming out. A girl who had grown up playing fantasy games and wishing every single day that magic was real so that she could change her body and become who she wanted to be, she had grown up to be a little excited by adventure and the lure of possible mystery. Because if if something beyond explanation could exist at all, that meant there was a chance, no matter how small, that her dream could actually come true.

So when Asami found Ami crouched down by the fence outside the old school building, she'd see the young idol in all black, with plenty of adventuring supplies. She wore a pair of tight black jeans, sneakers, a black turtleneck, and her hair was put up in two buns on the side of her head out of the way. She had a smalls length of rope coiled and hanging from her shoulder, as well as a stack of ofuda she had made from designs online.

"Asami-chan, over here!" she whispered from her hidden spot, waving a short hand to her friend.

But for Ami, there was a little more than fire. The tiny hair on her skin would stand on end, as if static electricity was running through her. The same electricity coursed down to the scroll, which came alive again, with new words appearing on it.

You have received the gift of magic.

Then, with polite pause allowed for the scroll to catch up, it made a friendly announcement: Now, open your minds, initiates, and prepare to learn how to channel the element of nature that resounds with you...

Instantly learning how to cast fireballs and a small shock feels, apparently, like getting tickled in the belly

Asami dropped the scroll, her hands and expression looking like she had burned herself. The following thoughts were hectic to an unknown degree; if some of these things were something she had never seen, she should never be so foolish to not use them as somebody she knew would.

She drew her hand cautiously down her chin. The other, which she had sneezed over, seemed quiet for a seemingly surprised girl. She just had been trained to not have filthy habits.

"Some rubbish about wisdom. How am I supposed to know about this?" And with force, she threw the scroll away, angrily.

The scroll went flying.

It's just that a fireball in deep, garnet red and black followed it, coming from Asami's hand. It hit one of the candlesticks, and thankfully not the walls, but in contact the candle immediately melted down, becoming a puddle of wax.

Asami has instinctively used Hellfire.

The fireball put Asami into a state of deep thought where the only way it made sense was that being tickled made her think of being paid attention - and that was a good feeling. It amazed her to see that she had that kind of power.

"Cooooooool."

And then, at that wonderful moment, a muscular, tanned, strapping horse-demon wearing an uncomfortably small loincloth came through the hole in the wall, (http://asylums.insanejournal.com/savedacitydesu/4969.html?thread=165993#t165993) and stood there, balancing himself awkwardly for a second, before clicking his tongue.

"Yes. Ah. Well... Hello. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_ILDFp5DGA#t=1m22s)"

Ami successfully cast a simple lightning bolt-- and so the bolt traveled fast towards the demon's piercing-riddled ear, drawing a light whinny of surprise as Kaunko rapidly tried to turn off the small flame. "Ah. Stop that..." he said, conveying less annoyance in his voice than his urgency to extinguish the flame would hint he feels.

Here Asami, in the aggressive way she was getting used to, began to visualise the flames roaring to life in the palm of her hand - willing herself to attack first - because if she did not then that thing would.

She was convinced that speed was the best thing.

Foolery! To attack a demon like this. Kaunko's eyes flared red, burning with unholy ferocity, as he thrust his large hands forth to catch the fireball.

[Roll 1]

Except the fireball missed his hands entirely, hitting him square on the stomach. Though by the dark nature of the fireball, the demon didn't so much burn as enjoy the impact. In short, it was another case of Asami Oubai physically assaulting someone. This made him bend down, clutching his stomach while giving a pained neigh that sounded an awful lot like "OWOOOHOOWOOOHOOOHH."

"Hey! What do you think you two are doing?" Takuro sounded offended, having clambered through the hole just in time to see his summon get assaulted.

"Are you okay, K-kun?"

[identity profile] fantasy-skies.insanejournal.com 2013-02-20 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Iwasaki. Second year. Please apologize to K-kun. This place isn't safe and we should leave."

"It's alright, young master," Kaunko said, straightening up. All signs of his injuries were vanishing very quickly. Once he was tall enough to exude his usual amount of menace, he made a point to stress his words in the most discomforting tone possible. "A little pain... is alright every now and then."

"O-oh my," Itsuki exclaimed, emerging from behind Takuro, and coming to a startled halt when he saw the two girls in the room. He tried a little, friendly wave of his hand, but any effort to seem unassuming would be undermined by the fact a white, glowing snake slithered out from inside his shirt, came up his shoulder, and honked at them.

Asami did not apologise. She was twitching rather. She had sweat-laden black hair and a red angry face - she had no idea what this demon was, or that it even existed, but those boys. She knew what those were. A little anger rose in her as defiance, of of her family as much as those here. "You're the ones barging in here! You apologise to me!"

She said this in such an angry tone that it was hard to tell she was shocked at all.

[identity profile] cakesnake.insanejournal.com 2013-02-21 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Itsuki didn't have a poker face yet. He looked caught and embarrassed, and for as long as it lasted, too nervous to conjure a good lie. He looked at his roommate for help, and while Takuro was the smooth liar, he tried to start them off on the 'right track.' "It's, um, it's-- well, I did it because... it's dangerous here! Right, Takuro-kun?"

[identity profile] fantasy-skies.insanejournal.com 2013-02-21 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, that's what I just said." Takuro's foot began tapping impatiently. "Which is why we need to gather the others and go. Given that some members of our party are recklessly throwing fire around, we should get moving before one of you manage to burn down the building."

He glanced around the room they were now standing in. "Do I want to know what things you two were doing with the kissing bears?"

[identity profile] competetowin.insanejournal.com 2013-02-22 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Asami, who had had some experience of brotherly taunting, figuratively spat at him. "Oh you are so disgusting." Then she carefully took a quick look around, and chose a path to take before either boy could decide. She looked back just to see them standing there.

"You can go look if you're so inclined," she added.

[identity profile] fantasy-skies.insanejournal.com 2013-02-22 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
"There's no need to get defensive. It just seems like a pretty bizarre thing to store in this building." Takuro waited a beat before sighing, his irritation at falling on deaf ears battling with his relief that at least they were moving again. "Come on, K-kun, let's go."

Setting off after the speedy girl, Takuro called ahead: "We need to head upstairs. There's people up there as well." Taking a moment to remember the view from before, Takuro gave instructions as best he could. There was no guarantee that he would be listened to by either girl, but...

Itsuki was lurking in the back (somewhat relieved that the lie had been consolidated). It would be easy to ignore him, since there was the attention-drawing, sculpture-hard, muscular horse-man standing there...

And yet, he was being ignored. This was a new one for Kaunko, who had been the death of many a party. He, who had been there when many drunken relatives revealed dirty secrets about friends and family, he who had been there when pants ripped at the worst possible time before a job interview, he, who had been there at every cat scare from a movie making the audience scream, was being ignored.

It made him pout. "I, yes... yes, young master. I'm coming," he said, but even when he tried to make it sound suggestive enough to get an R rating smacked into the conversation, there was an undeniable tone of self-consciousness in his voice. He even looked back at Itsuki, the only person in the room who felt as uncomfortable as the demon did.

"Well, I'd never..."
