What: Ami and Asami sneak into the old school building! Others can join too!
When: 8:30PM, some night in June?
Where: Old School Building
Who: Ami, Asami, others!
People in school knew Ami as one person. Asami as Ami's only friend had begun to see a different side to her. And tonight it was almost as if a whole other side of Ami was coming out. A girl who had grown up playing fantasy games and wishing every single day that magic was real so that she could change her body and become who she wanted to be, she had grown up to be a little excited by adventure and the lure of possible mystery. Because if if something beyond explanation could exist at all, that meant there was a chance, no matter how small, that her dream could actually come true.
So when Asami found Ami crouched down by the fence outside the old school building, she'd see the young idol in all black, with plenty of adventuring supplies. She wore a pair of tight black jeans, sneakers, a black turtleneck, and her hair was put up in two buns on the side of her head out of the way. She had a smalls length of rope coiled and hanging from her shoulder, as well as a stack of ofuda she had made from designs online.
"Asami-chan, over here!" she whispered from her hidden spot, waving a short hand to her friend.

If there was any one piece of architecture that had no place existing at night, it would be a school. There's just something eerie about most such buildings, but Ryuseki High somehow managed this effect to a tee. Its shabby state and stereotypical looks added to the atmosphere, and the fact the principal saved on as much lighting as possible only made it darker.
A single, buzzing, and soon-to-expire lightbulb illuminated the area the girls were entering. The new school building and the old one were almost indistinguishable at night, and only a seasoned Ryuseki High student would be able to tell them apart.

"Ugh. If there's one thing I hate," she said, "it's the dark."
But the adventure had begun!
She helped Ami raise a number of the boundary tapes and put herself under them in a crawl. Then she lifted the material again and made her way, crawling in head first, and then straightening with the tape near-clinging to her back. She began to feel like a cartoon ninja.

A long, dark hallway! Old classrooms with boarded up doors and a dust coated, almost indistinct corridor of creaking wood stretches before them. There's very little light to see, except for that coming from a lightbulb outside, and peering through the classroom windows, just barely making it through the hall through the paper walls. This is, of course, unless the girls have a flashlight.
Moderator note
You are at the long and dark hallway, which is long and, I'm afraid to say, dark.
Now begins the exploration. You can either proceed in prose (no dice rolls, and leave your discoveries to the mod's decisions) or determine the fortune of your movements by, rolling a single dice, 10-sided (http://www.roll-dice-online.com/). At the current state, your dice rolls go:
1-2 Critical failure / Very unfortunate results
3-5 Failure / Inconvenient results
6-8 Success / Advantageous results
9-10 Critical success / Very lucky results
* A real world ninja would know better, and would avoid the rickety old building out of a sense of self-preservation.

Still, he waited further off from the main door, just in case.
He adjusted his glasses again. It was almost eight-thirty. The closer it got, the more Akito's eyes would flick up to check if someone was coming.

"towards the school"
"up"

The note didn't specify the 'school' but like everything else recently, it wouldn't surprise if it referred to the old school.
He stared at the note, then up at old school building this time.

She beckoned for him to come over, then started fiddling around with the bag she'd brought with her.

"A-Araragi-san!? I-what-why are you up there!?"

One more quick shuffle through the bag, and she was done with that. At that point, she spared a glance outward, hoping to find one other person. If he had decided to show up, she'd be disappointed but not surprised--and she was ready to move on either way.

"Honk."
"You said it, Kamui," Itsuki whispered, nodding sagely, "I'm also sure I heard noises from this side."
no subject
"Quiet," he hissed, before cocking his head and checking for noises. "It's hard enough to sneak around because you felt the need to bring a glowing snake along, Itsuki-kun, so try to keep it silent."
A quick glance in both directions confirmed that weren't in immediate danger of being discovered. "I'm going to look around, so shake me out of it if you see anybody."
Taking a deep breath, Takuro concentrated on calling forth his enhanced vision.

This is what the magic taught him:
The building has three levels: a basement, a first story, and a second story.
One story over him, inside the school, where tendrils of mesmerizing spells that whispered sweet distractions to the mind, were three figures. One appeared a warm, almost lime green to his third eye - like the color of a meadow on an breezy summer afternoon. The other one was red, bright red, not like real fire but fire as we KNOW it truly is -- warm, red, hot. The other was a storm. It was like gazing into dark clouds, all calm and promise, and seeing the hidden lightning crackle there.
One story below - on the ground floor - two more figures. Two fires... one red, sizzling with electricity and sparks, and the other a deep, smokey fire.
He knew this too: there were monsters inside. Youkai. Small ones... He could feel their small lives and the magic, along with one or two slightly larger, but dull presences. However, there was something more. Someone bigger... much bigger, to the point that his mind's eye would be confused, for the figure was both inside the building, and much larger than any human could be, standing two stories tall, and wandering the halls in a slow, vigilant pace... until it stopped, and began to turn its head towards him, to fix him an arresting stare with two eagle eyes of bright orange.
(SIMPLIFIED FORM:)
1. Takuro knows the building has three levels.
2. Takuro has detected Asami and Ami on the ground floor, and the other three kids on the top story.
3. There are small and medium-sized youkai roaming.
4. There is one large presence in the building.

"Itsuki-kun, we need to move." Takuro didn't look back at his friend, instead peering into the gloom ahead. "Now." He grabbed the taller boy's wrist and set off at a jog, in the opposite direction of where he had seen that looming being.
"Either the place is on fire, or there are five people in here already-" Takuro hesitated outside a closed door before remembering a couple of smaller, non-human presences inside that room. He tugged on Itsuki again and continued down the hallway. "Two on this floor and three upstairs. There's also something... something big. It saw me..."
At a junction, he led the three of them in the direction of the two humanoid figures on their floor. "I'm not sure if we should just get out, or if we should warn the others and get them out as well, or if we still try to spook them off without revealing ourselves."

They were approaching the side of the building that had housed the two humanoid figures. Takuro forced himself to slow and catch his breath before turning to Itsuki for the first time since the spell was broken. "This is it. They're close by. You are the one that wanted to come here, so I'll follow your lead. How do you want to do this?"

[MEANWHILE]
"Calm down, Iwata. Kids say the darnedest things," he told himself, turning the car off. After a moment, he groaned, "What am I even doing here? It'll probably be fine... even if they come here, it's a big ol' haunted building, and all of them have cellphones! Worst case, they hurt themselves, but they'll just call for help... It'll maybe just be a broken limb, or... maybe a nasty head injury..."
He frowned. The more he thought about it, the more his reassurance worked the opposite effect. He turned off the car and stepped out, closing the door-- and then bumping into it, because the damn thing just didn't ever close right.
He stood there for a moment, before shaking his head. "I don't even know they're here. They're probably just home, surfing the internet, writing their fan-fictions and--" he chuckled, shaking his head. "And... and maybe I'm worrying over nothing."
