Who: Takuro and Itsuki
Where: Their apartment initially.
What: Just hanging out.
When: After Iwata's lesson in the old school building, night time.
So the lights were on when Takuro came home. He'd open the door and instantly smell Itsuki's cooking heavy in the air. The noise of boiling oil and clatter of pot lids as water threatened to spill out came from their kitchen.
The snake was nowhere in sight.
There were drinks and cutlery on the table for them, as well as chopsticks. Unless Itsuki was waiting for a guest, Takuro's glass was already filled for him. Their old, small TV was on, as an interview with some novel writer who had started a horrible new trend of werewolf-alien romance that refused to die was making small talk with an interviewer.
"Welcome home, Takuro-kun~" Itsuki chimed from the kitchen.

He paused. "So, what sort of thing do you like? I know we joke about you being president of the drama club, and I know you're in soccer too."

Takuro crossed his arms. "I know you're a wood sculptor, obviously. You've mentioned basketball before, but I don't know if you're on the team at school or not. What else?"

He began to serve up. A noodle soup and some fried chicken with steamed vegetables and cream.
"Well, I like plants a lot too... I really wish we could have a bigger garden, but, you know, tiny apartment. And ooh-- occult club! That's a nice idea."

Takuro's smile died. "...I know some of the people on the basketball team, Itsuki-kun. They're assholes. You're too nice to have to play with those guys." He shrugged. "I know it's not the same, but I'm happy to play with you whenever. I'm not very good, though."

When Takuro spoke about the team, Itsuki was wide-eyed at his roommate coming to his defense. Almost in disbelief. "Really?" Itsuki he exclaimed, seeming surprised and moved. His smile had some childlike wonder, and so it was specially tragic when it faded away. "Ahh, well, but I'd hold you back..."

He sighed, letting out some of the tension that was building in his shoulder. If there was a conflict between them... "Plant shopping sounds fun, though I'm not sure we have space in here for anything else. There are some cool-looking plants in the forest that would be interesting to have, and between us and magic it shouldn't be hard to keep them alive."

Apparently, Itsuki didn't have a problem with the idea of his friend doing nocturnal forest exploration.
"It's-- ahh, it sounds... adventurous, you know?" he said, cheerfully, putting down the food on the table. "I'd really like to go, unless you want to be alone there."

Takuro rubbed tha back of his head. "It can get pretty cold though, so you should dress warm. I don't want you getting sick or anything."
