Hot Blooded Club Leaders Boil Over! Acting vs. Cooking Showdown of Ultimate Destiny!

Who: Keiichi & Haruka
What: The meeting for club funding
Where: The library.
When: After school.

"THIS IS PREPOSTEROUS!"

The school officials blinked once, then again, at the outburst from Cooking Club President Keiichi Ito. One of them happened to be one of his teachers, and she was most confused of all. Keiichi was reasonably mild mannered in class. He never raised his voice like this.

"Ito-san, I understand your frustration, but please consider that there are many clubs, and --"

"You haven't even given me enough to be able to afford to boil water," Keiichi thundered, drawing himself up to his full height. He was tall, both for his age and for being Japanese -- the quarter American in him helping contribute to that. Sure, his statement was an exaggeration, but still. "You gave the Ikebana club five times that! How much money do you need to arrange flowers, for heavens sake?!"

Other club leaders looked at Keiichi warily. Most people knew, if nothing else about the hot-blooded cooking emperor, that his father was famous Japanese pro wrestler Kenjiro Ito -- and Kenjiro had passed on some of his wisdom to his son. Were they about to witness the first ever suplexing of a teacher?

"COOKING IS A VITAL SKILL FOR ALL YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN," Ito continued. "It is FAR more important than arranging flowers, or hitting a stupid little ball with a stick, or any of these other namby-pamby pantywaist clubs!"

This, the adults had decided, was gonna be a long, LONG afternoon.

"I look forward to seeing you try, Ito-kun."

Were this an anime, one might see dramatic motion lines, a spark flying between their eyes, even a fire burning in the background. As it was, all there was behind the pair of newly declared rivals was a bunch of terrified club leaders and suddenly very wary staff.

No, nothing bad could possibly ever come of this.
