Takeo's thrill stopped. His excitable high vanishing as his attention turned to his friend. With it, the flame between his hands died.

Normal, reasonable thoughts were escaping him. He had to abandon them to chase after answers, which at the time were on the other side of the fence of logic. However, he backtracked - with effort - to that kind of sensible thinking, and approached the other boy in the room.

"You're upset..." he noted, blinking slowly. "See, I think I am, but I'm keeping it down. I can't afford to be upset, but you can..." he continued, moving on to a simple question which, despite its simplicity, he found fit the moment. "Would you like to talk about it?"
