"Above average," she said. A B+ was not the best grade in the world, but it was enough to make Ami happy. She had no parents to show her grades off to, the only satisfaction of that sort she could get was talking to Asami about it.

"If you want, we can study together next time." Just not at her place, since she still has never admitted she lives alone. Sometime she would have to admit that, but not today.

Soon the bus arrived downtown, and Ami and Asami stepped off together. Ami already had her phone out, trying to map directions from the bustop to the cat cafe. Already she was excited to have a purring cat nuzzling against her face.

"It's this way.." she says, staring at her phone and pointing on one direction. "...I think."
