It had taken weeks for Kaori to settle on a club to join. In the end, she had chosen not to join the Cooking Club. As sweet as it had been of Ito-kun to offer her a safe haven, she wasn't the sort of girl that needed protection. Neither did she want to join the school choir, the dance club, the theatre club or anything else associated with music or performance.

Eventually, she just wrote down a list of clubs taking members, closed her eyes, and pointed to one at random. The result had been kendo, something she'd never been interested in before and knew very little about. It had nothing to do with being an idol though, so Kaori was willing to try it.

And so Kaori walked into the gym after people had already gotten started, looking vastly out of place among the more athletically inclined.
